Rain Barrels

Rain Barrels have become the easiest way to harvest rainwater. This is one installation in the House of the Shenoys in Rajmahal Vilas II Stage in Bangalore.

Here in this city a 500 litre rain Barrel can harvest close to 23000 litres of water and a 1000 litre barrel can collect 38,000 litres of water.

Jyoti, the plumber trained on rainwater harvesting, did this installation. Picture shows the owner with the first floor Rain Barrel. Good water for her potted plants.
